At SSP America, we take pride in delivering authentic dining experiences with a variety of restaurants at Miami International Airport, including Chick-Fil-A, Jackson Soul Food, and IceBox. Our Utility Workers play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our establishments, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic workspaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment such as floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage areas.
• Dispose of refuse in designated locations properly.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas as needed and transport service ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Scrape food residue from dishes, pots, and pans; wash by hand or load into dishwashers and store properly.
• Use specific cleaning chemicals and possibly heavy equipment to meet hygiene standards.
• Assist guests with special requests and communicate their needs to servers or supervisors.
• Unload and load supply trucks, transferring items between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and monitor temperature of food items.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• At least six months of experience in retail or food service.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience handling guest service challenges.
• Required food handler's permit as mandated by law.
• Brand certifications as applicable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in confined spaces.
