Test Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Test Manager with 14 to 18 years of experience to manage testing operations within a hybrid work environment. This role demands proficiency in Agile methodologies, GITHUB, Jira, GIT, Web Services Testing, API testing, SQL, Postman, and SoapUI, along with extensive knowledge of the Life and Annuities Insurance sector. The successful candidate will ensure software quality and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in project kick-off meetings and workshops for onboarding new projects.
• Develop and review high-level strategies for project onboarding.
• Conduct thorough review of Project Test Strategies and Plans prior to client and TCOE Head evaluations.
• Assess estimations, assumptions, risks, and dependencies before client TCOE Head reviews.
• Attend regular project meetings and perform cursory checks on Daily Status Reports.
• Collaborate with Client TCOE Head to resolve risks, issues, and challenges raised by Team Leads.
• Examine Test Summary Reports before submission to Client TCOE Head.
• Support TCOE QA teams in capturing and reporting testing metrics.
• Perform final KPI reviews before sharing with Client TCOE Head.
• Analyze trends and recommend enhancements to QA Leads.
• Engage in weekly reviews and connect sessions with TCOE QA Leads and Client TCOE Head to discuss project progress.
• Partner with Client TCOE Head to develop and monitor the maturity roadmap.
• Drive transformation initiatives aimed at process improvements.
• Identify and implement shift-left and shift-right testing strategies to promote early testing and increase reusability.
• Conduct due diligence on development and QA processes, pinpoint gaps, and suggest improvements.
• Participate in process standardization meetings with cross-functional teams including DEV, BA, PM, and UAT.
• Review and prepare TCOE playbooks, guidelines, standards, and templates.
• Lead the implementation of standardized processes across teams.
• Produce various TCOE deliverables as required.
• Serve as the first escalation point within TCOE.
• Collaborate with Client TCOE Head regarding core-flex resource allocation and changes.
• Manage all aspects of test management operations.

Additional Information

• Strong communication skills in English required.
• No travel is required for this position.
• Desired skills include experience with transformation and automation/AI technologies.
• Knowledge of non-functional testing and fluency in Mandarin language are advantageous.

Certifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and ISTQB Advanced Test Manager Certification or an equivalent qualification are mandatory.
