Role Summary
The MRDA Technician is integral to Metrology and Real-Time Defect Analysis operations, tasked with performing measurement activities, monitoring process variations, aiding engineers in defect examinations, and promptly identifying quality-impacting issues. This position involves hands-on tool operation, capturing and organizing data, foundational troubleshooting, material evaluation, equipment and product qualification, and aiding continuous improvements in manufacturing settings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize established measurement protocols to deliver swift, precise product integrity evaluations.
- Operate advanced inspection and metrology instruments for defect detection leveraging innovative technologies.
- Systematically collect and manage measurement and defect data for engineering assessment.
- Implement regular monitoring using Statistical Process Control tools aligned with defined equipment qualification standards.
- Employ sampling techniques to detect machinery or process abnormalities, escalating issues occasions promptly.
- Assist Engineering teams with tool maintenance schedules, recoveries, and execute basic troubleshooting measures.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on Metrology and Real-Time Defect Analysis equipment.
- Support data gathering and preliminary validation during defect investigation and process enhancement projects.
- Provide accurate data compilations for process analysis and equipment up-time enhancement initiatives in the fabrication environment.
- Generate initial data analyses to identify tool/process correlations and root causes of defects.
- Contribute to projects focused on improving inline detection, reducing measurement variability, enhancing efficiency, and increasing tool availability.
- Collaborate with suppliers and owners by delivering tool performance feedback and participating in trials for novel methods addressing challenges of shrinking technology nodes.
- Maintain proficiency in recipe management, basic troubleshooting, and recovery for allocated metrology and inspection tools.
- Ensure adherence to operational protocols fostering a secure, efficient, and orderly workplace.
Qualification Requirements
- Possess Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent qualifications in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-moving, dynamic work environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication competencies.
- Prior semiconductor fabrication process experience is advantageous.

- Availability for 12-hour shift rotations (morning and night).
