Job Overview

As a Technical Program Manager at Google focusing on Data Center operations, you will collaborate closely with partners, customers, and key stakeholders to formulate strategic plans and long-term visions. You will spearhead new initiatives, guiding their execution from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include managing multiple programs related to data center service and infrastructure development, offering robust technical oversight, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance project outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to develop strategic plans, initiate programs, and drive them through various phases of execution.
• Oversee diverse work programs, coordinating teams and engineers to pace development, deployment, and delivery of data center infrastructures and services.
• Produce detailed project documentation, including process maps, presentations, and status tracking reports for ongoing project visibility.
• Apply technical expertise to steer project delivery, conduct technology reviews, challenge proposals constructively, and foster consensus among teams.
• Interpret service and system performance metrics to create actionable recommendations supported by quantitative analyses.
• Act as an escalation point for external partners and align efforts across internal groups.
• Communicate project analyses and proposals effectively to stakeholders, including executive leadership, maintaining accountability for deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• A minimum of 8 years in program or project management roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven background in data center construction, fit-out, and services programs.
• Experience managing infrastructure and fit-out projects in data centers, coordinating with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in customizing and using project management tools.
• Capability to handle complex projects in fast-paced, evolving environments, juggling multiple priorities and ambiguity.
• Knowledge of greenfield civil construction, statutory permits, local industry standards.
• Working understanding of financial principles as applied to project and program management.
