Technical Data Analyst (SQL)

Role Overview

The Technical Data Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining client investment data by analyzing raw information, constructing data systems and pipelines, and performing complex data analyses. The role involves synthesizing data from multiple sources to align with client and organizational requirements, improving data accuracy, and enhancing overall data quality and reliability.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience with cloud computing platforms and big data technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of database design principles and data warehousing concepts.
• Understanding of investment-related data is advantageous.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, for example, Java, Python, or VBA.
• Expertise in data manipulation, cleansing, and governance best practices.

• Comfort handling extensive datasets and performing data mining operations.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, accounting, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years' experience in data analytics, reporting, and data visualization.
• Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Practical knowledge of ETL (extract, transfer, load) and data integration processes.
• Experience using data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
• Familiarity with dbt or Prophecy tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
