Job description
Role Overview
As an integral member of the management team at our retail location, the Team Leader provides crucial support to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing the store's day-to-day operations. This role involves a variety of leadership, operational, and customer service responsibilities to maintain smooth functioning.
Primary Duties
- Leading and supervising store associates, offering guidance and assistance.
- Managing merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves and handling shipments through unboxing and boxing processes.
- Ensuring high standards of customer service are consistently delivered.
- Handling manager-on-duty responsibilities, such as supervising breaks, and monitoring time and attendance.
- Implementing and upholding standards of visual merchandising throughout the store.
- Resolving customer complaints and addressing issues swiftly and effectively.
- Maintaining safety protocols and cleanliness within the store environment.
- Performing cash handling procedures along with opening and closing store duties when required.
- Engaging in inventory control processes and assisting with training new employees.
- Following up on delegated tasks and participating in recruitment and performance assessment activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of retail experience and between one to two years in a supervisory capacity.
- A strong desire for career advancement within the organization.
- Availability to work across various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities paired with effective communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
