Role Overview

The Task Associate plays a vital role in driving operational excellence that supports sales objectives, ensuring an outstanding experience for all guests visiting Ulta Beauty. Responsibilities include maintaining stocked fixtures, ensuring store cleanliness, and efficiently completing assigned duties. This position works closely with the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager focusing on performance metrics, team collaboration, and compliance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the achievement or surpassing of retail goals by effectively completing assigned tasks and making products available for purchase.
• Ensure compliance with operational and task dashboard goals, completing shipment, replenishment activities, merchandise setups, and inventory processes promptly.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Promote inclusivity by supporting teammates, peers, and both internal and external guests.
• Engage proactively in ongoing training programs, including brand and category education, to foster professional growth and drive sales.
• Adhere rigorously to Ulta Beauty’s policies, standard operating procedures, and dress code.
• Execute merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, and physical inventory using the company’s technologies and best practices.
• Ensure operational areas remain replenished, properly signed, faced, and that product testers are accessible.
• Upkeep exceptional store standards and cleanliness in all areas including sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backrooms, and break rooms.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention protocols while delivering outstanding guest service.
• Perform other operational responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience or an equivalent blend of education and experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Flexible availability including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Continuous movement throughout the store during shifts.
• Regular standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting activities.
• Frequent lifting or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of items during a shift.
