About the Role
This position, titled Supplier Management Associate, corresponds internally to the role of Marketer or Senior Marketer. It supports designated regional sales teams by managing pricing and promotional strategies for specific electronic components. The role involves market trend analysis, maintaining profit margin responsibility, supplier negotiations, and daily preparation of quotations, pricing, and profit reports. Close collaboration with branch offices is essential for alignment and enhanced sales results.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess sales prospects through various communication channels and set competitive resale prices to support sales quoting.
- Negotiate special pricing deals with suppliers.
- Equip the sales team with necessary information and tools to effectively support customers.
- Oversee order releases and conduct report analysis for management insight.
- Collaborate with sales and customers to drive product area growth and capitalize on opportunities.
- Achieve assigned sales targets while ensuring profitability.
- Maintain updated knowledge to timely quote winning bids for key customer opportunities.
- Coordinate daily requirements with suppliers and sales teams.
- Manage overall profitability for relevant product categories.
- Implement and enforce Ship & Debit programs when applicable.
- Monitor daily backorder status and manage authorizations related to changes, cancellations, and price releases.
- Keep comprehensive quote and supplier activity logs.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience is preferred but not mandatory; fresh candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Proven business, analytical and organizational skills combined with computer literacy.
- Highly responsible, committed, results-driven with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Location
The position is based at ESR BizPark@Changi, conveniently located within walking distance of Expo MRT station in Singapore.
