Stores Controller

About the Role

British American Tobacco (BAT) Zambia is expanding towards a multi-category future with a goal to create a smokeless world. We are seeking a Stores Controller based in Lusaka who will be responsible for overseeing the Repairs & Replacements (R&R) store, ensuring spare parts are always available, inventory records are accurate, stock is secure, and all company protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and oversee spare parts, performing routine cycle counts and annual stocktakes.
• Handle stock receipt, issuance processes, and ensure reconciliation of inventory.
• Maintain stock levels by monitoring minimum and maximum thresholds using SAP and by updating material master data.
• Ensure security of the store including key control and access management.
• Generate reports on inventory status and consumption patterns.
• Provide timely spare parts support to maintenance teams to avoid downtime.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of two years' experience in inventory or stores management, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems for inventory control.
• Proven abilities in stock reconciliation, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and skills in analyzing inventory data.
