About the Role
British American Tobacco (BAT) Papua New Guinea is seeking a Fleet Coordinator based in Port Moresby to assist the Fleet Manager in overseeing the company's vehicle fleet across the country. This role ensures smooth fleet operations through efficient allocation and maintenance, compliance with regulations and company policies, secure asset management, timely servicing, and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily fleet activities including vehicle allocation, deployment, handover processes, returns, and upkeep of precise fleet documentation.
- Ensure all vehicle compliance requirements such as registration, insurance, roadworthiness, and adherence to company fleet policy are consistently met.
- Coordinate maintenance services, repair work, vendor interactions, and monitor vehicle downtime, costs, and upkeep schedules.
- Assist in fleet data reporting, KPI monitoring, handling incidents and insurance claims, and maintaining all related documentation and tracking systems.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external providers to guarantee fleet safety, cost-efficiency, reliability, and regulatory conformity throughout all operational regions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in fleet management, logistics, asset control, or similar coordination positions.
- Excellent organizational ability and administrative skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, with competence in reporting, data handling, and tracking tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities to coordinate initiatives across departments and external vendors.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, proactively resolve challenges, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
