Role Overview

The Storekeeper is a full-time, on-premises position based in the Kanyakumari district. The role entails managing the receipt, unloading, and verification of materials, ensuring all items are stored securely and correctly in assigned locations. Daily responsibilities include overseeing inventory documentation, monitoring stock levels, preparing materials for dispatch, and supervising packing to meet project deadlines. Operating material handling machinery as necessary, maintaining store cleanliness and orderliness, and collaborating with procurement, logistics, and project teams to guarantee material availability on schedule are key aspects. Adherence to safety procedures, company regulations, and proper documentation practices is mandatory.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in inventory control and management practices.
• Proficiency in materials handling, including unloading and forklift operation; possessing appropriate certifications is preferred.
• Familiarity with packaging, dispatch procedures, basic labeling, and related documentation.
• Competency in maintaining precise records, utilizing inventory or ERP software, and managing inward and outward material documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and commitment to following industrial safety standards.
• Previous experience in storekeeping or warehouse operations within engineering, construction, or industrial environments is advantageous.
• Minimum educational attainment of a high school diploma; vocational or technical education in logistics, warehousing, or allied disciplines is a plus.
