Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the Receiving Area and unload general merchandise trailers, managing live unloading of incoming products.
• Ensure the proper handling and movement of merchandise, maintaining cold chain protocols for refrigerated and frozen items, and transporting pallets to the sales floor for processing.
• Support sales floor stocking activities and assist customers to promote a positive shopping experience.
• Organize overstock merchandise by labeling and storing it in designated zones for effective inventory control.
• Adhere to company safety procedures to keep the workplace clean, hazard-free, and secure, including conducting safety inspection logs and confirming stability of displays and fixtures.
• Maintain flexibility by working various shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support consistent store operations and customer service.

Challenges in the Role

• Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of tasks, especially during overnight hours, by planning to stay alert and focused.
• Handle physical demands of prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items generally up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing with attention to detail to uphold store standards.

The starting hourly pay rate for this role is $17.75.
