Spa Therapist

Position Overview

The Luxury Collection is seeking a dedicated Spa Therapist to deliver exceptional massage and body treatment services to guests. This role involves using various props and products to perform massages, body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy treatments while ensuring guest comfort and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct massages and body treatments tailored to guest needs.
• Assess guests for contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy prior to treatments.
• Maintain an updated knowledge of the latest techniques and modalities in spa therapy.
• Accompany guests to and from treatment areas and ensure treatment rooms and workstations are properly arranged.
• Frequently check in with guests throughout the service to maintain comfort, safety, and security.
• Promote and sell spa services and retail products associated with the spa.
• Sanitize tools and uphold cleanliness of workstations and treatment rooms, including waste disposal and linen management.
• Adhere strictly to scheduled appointment times during the workday.
• Handle any inappropriate guest behavior by following company policies, including possibly stopping treatment and notifying management.
• Maintain any required licensure and skills pertinent to the role.
• Report safety issues or accidents and participate in safety training initiatives.
• Follow all company protocols and present a professional appearance.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with guests and coworkers, fostering positive relationships.
• Carry out physical tasks such as standing or walking for long periods and handling objects up to 10 pounds safely.
• Perform additional reasonable responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree related to spa or therapy services.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State or Regional Massage License is mandatory.
