Role Overview

As a Solutions Engineer at Vanta based in Sydney, Australia, you will lead technical engagements with key prospects and clients. You will ensure that customers utilize Vanta's capabilities fully to meet their security objectives. This position sits within the Sales team supporting Commercial and Enterprise organizations by validating product fit, delivering innovative solutions, and fostering strong customer relationships to drive retention and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture technical relationships with customers.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of Vanta's product features, integrations, configurations, messaging, partner ecosystem, and competitive market landscape.
• Gather and relay client and prospect feedback to the product team to inform development priorities.
• Assist customers throughout their Vanta trial experience to facilitate adoption.
• Create product demonstrations, documentation, and essential resources for customers.
• Promote a collaborative, creative, and continuously improving work environment.
• Initiate and advocate for programs improving the transition from pre-sales to post-sales stages.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of four years in customer-facing, technical roles such as Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer.
• Experience within B2B SaaS environments is essential.
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, including operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux, plus cloud application architectures.
• Strong project management capabilities, particularly thriving in startup-like environments with less formal structure.
• Creativity, technical aptitude, and persuasive communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Affinity for listening to customer needs, collaborating with teams, and engaging deeply with technical details.
• Foundational scripting language knowledge (Python, Ruby, Bash, JavaScript) with eagerness to expand these skills.
• Understanding of REST API development and service integrations is advantageous.
• Prior exposure to cybersecurity sector is preferred.
• Open-mindedness towards leveraging AI tools responsibly to enhance work efficiency and impact.
