Software Development Manager, Partner Growth Experience (PGX)

Overview

This role as a Software Development Manager at Amazon involves driving the creation of advanced AI-powered systems focused on Selling Partner Negotiations and Experience. The leader will oversee the delivery of intelligent Agentic AI features, such as the Selling Partner Chat Solution (Delphi), alongside scalable negotiation technologies that enable managing terms with first-party selling partners effectively. The objective is to achieve optimal costs and deliver competitive pricing to customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of solutions built on AWS, Machine Learning, Agentic AI, React, and extensive data analytics platforms.
• Enable multi-agent orchestration, proactive recommendation systems, and data-driven negotiation approaches.
• Collaborate deeply across core retail sectors including Supply Chain, Cost Management, and Procurement.
• Manage and grow a skilled engineering team exceeding 10 software developers.
• Partner with Applied Scientists, Product Managers, and senior leadership to convert complex GenAI and negotiation challenges into clear, actionable plans.
• Hire and develop a high-performing technical team aligned with retail strategy and engineering goals.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years managing engineering teams.
• 7 or more years of overall engineering experience.
• Over 8 years leading the design and implementation of multi-tier web services.
• Strong understanding of engineering lifecycles including coding standards, code review, source control, build and test processes, certification, and live operations management.
• Experience collaborating with product or program management teams.
• Expertise in designing and architecting reliable, scalable systems based on design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven communication skills engaging users, technical teams, and executives to gather requirements and convey technical designs and product strategies.
• Demonstrated ability hiring, mentoring, and coaching software engineers to enhance their skills and productivity.
