Job Responsibilities

As a backend and customer-facing system developer, you will design and enhance our email services to ensure high availability and scalability. Collaborating with other engineers, your work will focus on creating dependable and scalable systems. Additionally, you will partner with customers and various technology leaders at AWS to translate strategic business needs into feature development and project execution. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the SES service.

On-Call Commitment

You will be part of the UC organization responsible for a wide range of AWS foundational services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Applications. This includes supporting customers who need specialized cloud security solutions.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in software development (excluding internships)
• Hands-on experience in designing or architecting reliable, scalable systems including use of design patterns
• Proficiency in at least one programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education
• Familiarity with full software development lifecycle—coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations
