Role Overview

The Shipping Associate position involves both manual and clerical activities related to the management of shipments and receipts of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished goods. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, preparing and packing shipments, loading and unloading carriers, and routing materials appropriately within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out physical and administrative tasks in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment.
  • Unpack and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or invoices, keep accurate records, and reject defective items.
  • Manage the lifting of heavy items and operation of forklifts as required.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping records, including weights and shipping charges.
  • Organize and distribute inventory materials and supplies to manufacturing lines.
  • Assist in assembling kitting packages for production.
  • Follow assigned tasks under supervision and detailed instructions, working closely with management.
  • Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures to perform routine duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum education level: Secondary education or Higher Nitec certification.
  • At least 1 year of operator experience within a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) environment.
  • Willingness to work shift-based schedules (12-hour day shifts, rotating 4 days on/3 days off).
  • Ability to work onsite at the West location with available transport pickup from Jurong East and Lakeside MRT stations.
