Overview
Join Infinity Group in Melbourne as a Settlements Coordinator managing property developments. This full-time role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth and timely settlements by coordinating between brokers, conveyancers, solicitors, developers, and finance teams. Post-probation, the role includes one work-from-home day, with a salary of $80,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact between mortgage brokers, legal professionals, developers, and internal finance departments.
- Oversee settlement pipelines and key dates for multiple property developments, approximately 90 days pre-settlement through to completion.
- Analyze contracts and legal reports to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Leverage mortgage lending knowledge to challenge brokers on missing details, timelines, and conditions.
- Ensure finance files are accurately prepared, advanced, and submitted.
- Coordinate valuations and communicate with valuers as needed.
- Escalate any settlement or finance issues proactively to prevent deadline breaches.
- Provide transparent updates on settlement and finance statuses to external parties.
- Monitor and review high-risk settlement files weekly, ensuring timely completion of necessary actions.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2–3 years or more experience in settlements, conveyancing, broker support, or finance coordination.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of the mortgage lending process from approval to settlement.
- Have experience with contracts, conveyancing documents, and settlement procedures.
- Comfortable holding brokers, solicitors, and conveyancers accountable for timelines and details.
- Able to manage high volume and competing deadlines effectively.
- Exhibit clear, professional communication skills with senior external stakeholders.
- Show strong ownership and commitment to closing tasks without delay.
- Background in conveyancing or broker support is advantageous.
