Role Overview
The Senior Life and Health Pricing Actuary will join our expanding team in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Pricing for ANZ, Korea, and APAC group business. This role focuses on pricing life reinsurance treaties and product development across Australia, New Zealand, Korea, and other short-term opportunities within the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth in the Asia Pacific Life insurance segment, a crucial strategic focus for PartnerRe.
- Lead pricing initiatives for individual and group insurance products in diverse markets, ensuring adherence to internal policies, accurate risk evaluation, and industry best practices.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, confidently presenting pricing proposals to senior executives including the Chief Pricing Actuary and regional CEOs.
- Collaborate with Client Partners to expand market presence and strengthen our franchise.
- Build and sustain client relationships, presenting experience analysis and reinsurance terms to decision-makers.
- Maintain and enhance pricing tools/models; update trade terms such as benchmarks.
- Support marketing efforts by showcasing PartnerRe’s expertise during client engagements and external forums.
Technical Expertise
- Proficient in pricing both individual and group business for the Australia and New Zealand markets, with additional experience in Asian markets being advantageous.
- Successful history with large competitive tenders and renewals, leading end-to-end pricing alongside business development and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills ensuring timely and efficient pricing submissions.
- Commitment to governance, documentation, peer review, and continuous improvement of pricing systems.
- Experience with pricing models and software such as AXIS or R is preferred.

- Self-driven with accountability, ownership of tasks, and excellent prioritization under pressure.

Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum six years in life insurance, including at least two years post-qualification.
- Certifications as a Qualified Life Actuary (FIAA, FIA, FSA, or equivalent).
