Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and deployment of robust production-level machine learning and generative AI solutions addressing complex business and product challenges at scale. Responsibilities include owning the system components such as data pipelines, feature stores, training workflows, model deployment infrastructure, online experiments, and monitoring. Drive advanced use cases spanning deep learning, natural language processing, ranking, recommendation, forecasting, semantic search, and applications involving large language models (LLMs), including retrieval augmented generation (RAG), tool utilization, evaluation frameworks, and safety measures. Guide architectural decisions around model selection, distributed training and inference, GPU optimization, model compression, prompt and retrieval optimization, drift detection, retraining approaches, and ethical AI governance. Mentor engineering peers and develop reusable infrastructure and best practice patterns.

Candidate Profile

• Expert proficiency in Python programming along with strong command of software engineering in Java or Go to build scalable production systems.
• Extensive understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods covering structured data, NLP, search, ranking, and recommendation techniques.
• Proven experience in designing and managing complete ML lifecycles—from data ingestion, experimentation, deployment, monitoring, to ongoing maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with contemporary ML and LLM tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn, including fine-tuning, evaluation, orchestration, and model serving capabilities.
• Practical skills developing generative AI solutions utilizing embeddings, vector databases, RAG pipelines, agent workflows, prompt engineering, and implementing guardrails.
• Strong expertise in MLOps and platform engineering involving model registries, feature stores, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, experiment tracking, and automated validations.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems architecture, event-driven and streaming data services, and cloud-native ML platforms optimized for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ability to design comprehensive evaluation and governance processes including offline benchmarking, online A/B testing, hallucination analysis, risk assessment, and responsible AI guidelines.
• 7 to 9+ years of professional experience in software engineering combined with machine learning, demonstrated through successful leadership and delivery of complex AI systems at scale.
• Strong product insight with the capability to translate ambiguous business challenges into effective, scalable AI-driven solutions.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, complex settings, providing clear vision, ownership, and strategic planning to foster enduring platform success.
