AI Architect

About the Role

We're seeking an AI Architect to define the architecture for intelligent, enterprise-grade applications where AI is embedded at the core, not as an add-on. You'll craft comprehensive solutions spanning application services, integration, data architecture, event-driven systems, security, and AI/ML components.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect intelligent enterprise systems with AI integrated from the ground up.
• Create end-to-end solutions involving model integration, batch and real-time inference, data pipelines, vector search, LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, evaluation services, and responsible AI governance.
• Guide engineering teams on scalability, resilience, interoperability, observability, privacy, and compliance.
• Ensure architecture supports both immediate delivery needs and long-term platform evolution.
• Influence the ability of engineering teams to build, govern, and scale AI-enabled capabilities across products and customer scenarios.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Extensive experience in software architecture for distributed systems including microservices, event-driven patterns, APIs, and integration layers.
• Strong grasp of AI/ML architectures including training pipelines, inference models, model lifecycle management, and ML platform features.
• Proficiency designing enterprise generative AI solutions using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tooling, and orchestration.
• Skill in building scalable, secure application architectures integrating transactional and analytical platforms with AI services.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures involving containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, observability, resilience, and performance engineering.
• Experience establishing reference architectures, design standards, and reusable patterns for AI-driven product development.
• In-depth understanding of data architecture, governance, metadata, privacy, and access controls supporting trustworthy AI.
• Capability to evaluate build-versus-buy options considering technical and business trade-offs for models, platforms, and integration tooling.
• Knowledgeable about responsible AI practices including governance, security controls, compliance, and architectural guardrails for enterprise safety.
• Proven ability to lead architecture reviews, steer engineering roadmaps, and align technical direction across teams and product domains.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex architectural decisions to engineers, product management, and executives.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or a closely related area with a record of delivering complex systems.
• Systems thinker with capacity to link architectural choices to platform strategies and business outcomes.
• Technical leader capable of influencing teams and creating alignment without direct authority.
• Passionate about creating resilient and extensible systems meant to endure and evolve.
• Committed to staying updated on emerging technologies, particularly in AI, cloud computing, and distributed systems.
