Role Overview

As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will produce precise and prompt estimates for electrical projects such as distribution centers, automotive manufacturing plants, and data centers. This role demands a thorough grasp of electrical trade details, compliance with bid depository regulations, and expertise in interpreting electrical drawings.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical plans and specifications to forecast costs for materials, workforce, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Ensure bids conform to bid depository rules and regulations.
• Leverage Accubid software to develop and oversee project budget controls.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including project managers, engineers, and contractors to compile detailed estimating data.
• Investigate and report cost differences and inconsistencies to management.
• Engage in proposal presentations and respond to client and stakeholder queries during bidding phases.
• Stay informed about industry trends, standards, and practices.
• Assist the team by undertaking related responsibilities as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• At least 10 years’ experience in electrical estimating within heavy industrial construction.
• Experience estimating projects approximately valued at $50 million.
• Proficient with Accubid software and other prevalent estimation tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical trade scopes and bid depository policies.
• Skilled at reading and interpreting complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• Well-organized with the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.
• Self-driven, meticulous, and effective both independently and collaboratively.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
