Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the ifap Praxiscenter, a Delphi-based product designed for pharmacies and prescribers, working with a mixed stack combining both modern and legacy Delphi, integrated with the ABDA-/IFA pharmaceutical database and KBV-BMP standards.
- Design and implement improvements that enhance performance, stability, and integration with contemporary services such as .NET, Express.js, and MSVC components.
- Collaborate closely with the ifap team and the AI full-stack team to seamlessly connect Delphi components with modern web and data services, establishing sustainable integration pathways.
- Utilize Claude Code and AI agents strategically to accelerate refactoring, analysis, and documentation of the existing Delphi codebase and systematically share the insights gained with the team.
- Actively contribute to shaping the modernization roadmap of the Praxiscenter, balancing reliable delivery with incremental platform development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Several years of experience in Delphi development, preferably with critical, long-established application systems requiring high availability and data quality.
- A completed university degree (preferably Master’s) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with outstanding academic results.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and integration patterns, including experience in legacy system modernization; proficient with build, deployment, and version control tools.
- Demonstrated effective use of AI in software engineering, ideally including Claude Code (agents, skills, workflows), AI pipelines, and context engineering.
- Fluent proficiency in both German and English, enabling confident communication with German-speaking departments as well as international teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, pragmatic and independent working style, high proactivity, enthusiasm for innovation, and a business-minded approach aligned with our healthcare mission and responsibility for patient safety.
