Senior Software Engineer - Data2Evidence

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new functionalities within an open source software platform.
• Utilize and experiment with cutting-edge technologies such as Supabase, React micro-frontends, Jupyter Kernels, and AI technologies.
• Work collaboratively in a high-performing, cross-disciplinary team involving UX, product management, and engineering professionals.
• Extend and integrate the platform leveraging open-source frameworks.
• Contribute to a purpose-driven product that empowers the research community to generate meaningful, data-driven insights.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent practical experience.
• Have hands-on experience in full-stack software development, with TypeScript proficiency considered advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of modern web frameworks such as React or Vue, along with back-end programming skills.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, package management via npm, as well as working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Capable of effective communication, working autonomously, and passionate about contributing to open-source projects.
• Currently residing in Singapore, preferably with at least one year of local experience.

Our primary product, Data2Evidence (D2E), is an open-source analytics platform focused on real-world health data, built upon the OHDSI framework and the OMOP Common Data Model. It enables researchers and healthcare bodies to query and analyze extensive observational datasets effectively.

Working across international locations including Potsdam, Berlin, and Singapore, our interdisciplinary team combines expertise spanning product development, digital engineering, data security, and scientific disciplines. The Singapore engineering team plays a pivotal role in both platform development and institutional delivery.
