Senior C++ Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior C++ Software Engineer for a permanent, onsite role in Dublin with a reputable technology firm. The role entails developing efficient and high-performance software tailored for complex engineering tasks.

Core Responsibilities and Expertise Required

• Design and implement software solutions using modern C++ technologies.
• Develop on Linux platforms, focusing on optimization and concurrency.
• Work with multithreading, distributed systems, networking, and inter-process communication.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years’ professional experience in C/C++ software development.
• Strong familiarity with modern C++ and Linux development environments.
• Expertise in multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of distributed systems and network communications.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) or parallel computing frameworks.
• Knowledge of gRPC, MPI, or message queuing systems.
• Hands-on with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Proficient in TCP/IP, UDP, socket programming, or networking programming.
• Background in technical mentoring or architectural design is appreciated.
