Senior Architect

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Architect to join our team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The candidate should have at least 15 years of experience, particularly in interface management roles within consultancy, with a strong emphasis on site supervision concerning infrastructure projects such as roads, tunnels, bridges, and highways.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from initial concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project requirements, design standards, and regulatory codes.
• Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, planners, and landscape architects to ensure cohesive integration of architectural elements within overall project frameworks.
• Create, analyze, and verify architectural drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy, practicality, and buildability.
• Conduct on-site surveys and assessments to collect relevant data guiding design choices.
• Offer expert technical advice and mentorship to junior architects and design team members.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to clarify architectural requirements, troubleshoot design-related challenges, and secure necessary approvals.
• Perform routine site inspections to oversee construction progress and quality compliance with architectural plans.
• Evaluate contractor submissions, RFIs, and proposed modifications to designs.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and detailed documentation for clients and project stakeholders.
• Keep updated on advances and best practices in architectural design and construction methodologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of architecture experience within consultancy, focusing on site supervision for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong command of design principles with proficient use of architectural software including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction regulations.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related discipline is required; Master’s preferred.
• Professional architect licensure or registration is beneficial.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is an advantage.
