Architect

Role Overview

An Architect is tasked with generating architectural concepts, preparing designs, technical drawings, and thorough project documentation across residential, commercial, and multiple building projects. They engage collaboratively with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure all designs align with project goals, compliance standards, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Create architectural concepts including layouts, plans, elevations, and detailed construction drawings.
• Develop 2D and 3D design models, presentations, specifications, and related documentation.
• Analyze and interpret client requirements and project briefs to shape design strategies.
• Collaborate closely with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering teams for integrated design coordination.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, material choices, and ensure accuracy in submissions.
• Conduct on-site visits for inspections and design reviews to maintain alignment with project execution.
• Coordinate effectively with stakeholders such as clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure all designs adhere strictly to relevant building codes, regulations, safety protocols, and planning permissions.
• Assist in preparing permit documentation and support submission processes to governing authorities for project approvals.
• Address and resolve any design conflicts, technical challenges, and construction-related issues promptly.
• Manage ongoing design updates reflecting client feedback and site modifications.
• Contribute to enhancing design quality, operational functionality, sustainability, and overall project efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Architecture or a related discipline at bachelor's or master's level.
• Demonstrated professional experience in architectural design alongside hands-on construction project involvement.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural concepts, building systems, and construction materials.
• Proficiency with design software tools including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and sustainable architecture is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of architectural drawings, detailed specifications, and building code compliance.
• Strong skills in design visualization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coordination capabilities, and client relationship management.
• Awareness of UAE-specific building regulations and authority requirements is beneficial.
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet strict project deadlines.
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software tools.
