Role Responsibilities

  • Create and animate 2D characters, props, and backgrounds by interpreting storyboards, concept art, and creative briefs.
  • Bring characters and objects to life by accurately expressing their personalities, emotions, and movements through fluid animations.
  • Work closely with the creative team to maintain consistent animation styles and follow project guidelines.
  • Develop animatics, design layout poses, and produce in-between frames for smooth character motion.
  • Take part in animation critiques and feedback sessions to enhance and refine work.
  • Improve animation visuals by integrating effects such as rays, glows, and lighting enhancements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align technical and creative objectives.
  • Mentor junior animators, fostering their development and effectiveness within the team.
  • Identify and solve animation-related technical challenges to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Support the advancement of animation processes to boost overall workflow efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expert use of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Spine 2D software tools.
  • Thorough understanding of core animation principles like timing, spacing, squash and stretch, and anticipation techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with particle simulation, visual effects, and physics-based animation dynamics.
  • Optional skills include familiarity with Blender 3D and strong digital drawing capabilities.
  • Proficient communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Creative problem-solving aptitude for complex animation challenges.
  • Strong organizational abilities and leadership qualities.

Educational and Professional Background

A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required. Candidates should possess between four to eight years of professional experience in animation, spanning industries such as film, television, video games, or related domains.
