Role Overview

The role is situated within the Private Bank Middle Office Security Settlement team, where the successful candidate will provide trade settlement support for security transactions and related settlement responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Back Office teams and external counterparties to guarantee precise and timely settlement of securities trades.
• Verify security transactions within the Private Banking system before forwarding instructions to processing units.
• Address settlement discrepancies by communicating with Front Office, Back Office, and relevant stakeholders, providing clear guidance on resolving issues.
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash and security positions with internal and external parties, promptly resolving any inconsistencies.
• Manage client portfolio transfer instructions involving multiple asset classes through collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Distribute corporate action notifications received from custodians and ensure timely responses from the Front Office.
• Maintain the accuracy of static security data within the Private Banking system.
• Offer support and expert advice on matters related to security settlements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of a Degree or Diploma in Business, Banking/Finance, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience; candidates pursuing a related degree are also considered.
• A minimum of 3 to 6 years' operational experience in securities settlement, covering products such as exchange-traded instruments, fixed income, structured notes, unit trusts, derivatives, foreign exchange, corporate actions, and asset transfers.
• Capability to operate independently under minimal supervision within a fast-paced environment and meet stringent deadlines.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
