About the Role
Google is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead the Enterprise SaaS Security team based in Singapore. This role demands a seasoned professional to oversee operations aimed at bolstering SaaS security and protecting enterprise data and business processes. The team’s mission focuses on enhancing safety within cloud-based platforms used across the company. As a manager, you will direct multiple time-sensitive initiatives, foster collaboration across global security teams, and build agentic solutions to improve security posture continuously.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate with partners across various security engineering units to strengthen enterprise SaaS security measures.
- Manage Singapore-based teams responsible for assessing, mitigating SaaS enterprise security risks, and guiding secure enterprise SaaS usage.
- Drive enhancements in SaaS security through ongoing monitoring, expanding coverage, and deploying proactive solutions.
- Maintain high operational autonomy while ensuring alignment with global cybersecurity leadership in the APAC region and the US for strategic and technical coherence.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 8 years of expertise in security assessments, security design reviews, threat modeling, and computer/network security protocols.
- Proficient in coding with at least one general-purpose programming language, reflected in 8 years of experience.
- Minimum of 5 years leading teams of engineers or security professionals in a technical setting.
- Preferred experience includes hands-on system protection, security assessments/testing of platforms, designing business security solutions, and familiarity with key security areas like authentication, access control, and data protection.
- Ability to apply enterprise security knowledge to emerging AI-related security threats.
