Role Overview

The Report Developer will play a pivotal role in creating, developing, and deploying reports supporting a stock trading platform. This position requires close collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders to convert reporting needs into accurate, compliant, and timely technical deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business teams to collect and verify reporting requirements while understanding data mappings and transformations.
• Develop approximately 100 reports using designated tools and frameworks, ensuring adherence to the bank's standards and fulfillment of business needs.
• Support testing and User Acceptance Testing by drafting test cases, validating reports, and addressing defects promptly.
• Manage production deployment processes, including following change management protocols and maintaining rollback plans and deployment documentation.
• Coordinate with banking teams to obtain system and environment access and provide regular updates along with usage reports as requested.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable experience in report development related to financial or trading systems.
• Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, as well as knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation practices.
• Hands-on expertise with report generation platforms such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Understanding of stock trading operations and financial data architectures.
• Capability to troubleshoot during UAT and manage issues in production deployment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Three to seven years of IT development experience, with at least three years focused on report development within banking or financial services.
• Leadership experience overseeing a team of at least six members preferred.
• Ability to think critically and perform well under pressure in dynamic settings.
• Effective communication skills that facilitate cross-team collaboration.

Work Schedule and Conditions

The role involves shift work, starting with an 8-hour shift which may change to a 12-hour shift rotation (e.g., work three days followed by four days off, and vice versa). Availability to support releases during nights, weekends, and public holidays is required.
