Report Developer

Role Summary

The Report Developer will be tasked with creating, developing, and deploying reports tailored for a stock trading platform. This position requires close cooperation with business analysts and stakeholders to accurately translate requirements into technical deliverables, guaranteeing precision, adherence to compliance standards, and timely completion.

Primary Duties

• Gather and validate reporting requirements alongside business units.
• Understand mappings and transformations of data sources.
• Develop approximately 100 reports employing approved tools and frameworks.
• Confirm that all reports comply with business specifications and bank regulations.
• Support testing phases and user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and validating reports.
• Address and resolve defects effectively during testing.
• Manage report deployments in production following the bank's change management protocols.
• Maintain documentation and rollback strategies for deployments.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure access to required systems and environments.
• Provide periodic updates on work progress and resource usage.

Required Expertise

• Extensive experience developing reports for financial or trading platforms.
• Proficient with PySpark, SQL, ETL processes, and data transformation.
• Hands-on knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents.
• Understanding of stock trading operations and financial data organization.
• Capability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues during UAT and production rollouts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills.

Additional Desirable Attributes

• Exposure to credit pool modeling projects or time-sensitive service contracts.
• Familiarity with banking technical infrastructure and regulatory compliance requirements.
• 3 to 7 years of IT support or development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in report creation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, preferably managing six or more members.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude and ability to perform under pressure in dynamic environments.
• Clear, effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capability to work independently or within a team.
• Highly organized with strict adherence to prescribed processes and procedures.

Educational Background

Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Work Conditions and Schedule

This role requires shift work with an initial 8-hour shift schedule subject to change to 12-hour shifts, cycling between 3 workdays and 4 days off or vice versa. The candidate must be willing to support software releases including nights, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
