Overview
This role focuses on the architecture and design of enterprise-scale Informatica solutions aligned with Data Lakehouse strategies, particularly within the banking and financial services industries. The candidate will define patterns for batch, micro-batch, and real-time data processing and lead governance for Informatica products across multi-tier data pipelines.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee end-to-end Informatica DEI and Big Data Management architectures consistent with Data Lakehouse concepts.
- Create enterprise-wide data integration approaches including batch, micro-batch, and stream processing.
- Implement architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices supporting development and operations teams.
- Evaluate and approve technical artifacts such as designs, mappings, workflows, and deployment strategies.
- Architect scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines across bronze, silver, gold, and financial services layers.
- Lead development governance, defining coding, deployment, and performance standards for Informatica DEI, BDM, Blaze Engine, and Spark jobs.
- Mentor teams and conduct architecture reviews to ensure quality and standard adherence.
- Design real-time and near-real-time integrations using Informatica PowerExchange, CDC, Kafka, and event-driven patterns ensuring robustness and low latency.
- Formulate execution frameworks leveraging Cloudera Data Platform, Hadoop, Spark clusters for optimized distributed data processing.
- Ensure metadata and data governance through lineage, impact analysis, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Optimize mappings, workflows, and Spark executions to maintain scalability, resilience, and availability in a 24/7 environment supporting critical BFSI workloads.
- Integrate with databases (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server) and APIs while tuning source extraction and target load processes.
- Assess existing Informatica solutions identifying gaps and lead modernization and optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, Cloudera teams, and business stakeholders participating in governance and design reviews.
- Provide technical leadership overseeing onsite and offshore delivery teams.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Over 10 years of experience in Informatica, with strong proficiency in DEI, BDM, PowerCenter, PowerExchange, and Metadata Manager.
- Hands-on expertise with CDC and designing real-time ingestion systems.
- Familiarity with big data platforms including Cloudera Data Platform, Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Hive, HDFS, and Kafka.
- Data Lakehouse architectural knowledge encompassing bronze/silver/gold layers, data modeling, metadata-driven frameworks, and governance.
- Experience with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server databases including performance tuning.
- Capability in enterprise integration design, ETL/ELT patterns, real-time processing, capacity planning, scalability, and high availability architectures.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Domain experience in banking and financial services, including regulatory reporting and customer, finance, risk, and treasury data domains.
- Familiarity with Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM) and Financial Services Analytical Solutions (FSAS) is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Informatica professional or architect certifications.
- Proven record in delivering large-scale Banking Data Lakehouse or Data Warehouse transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing hybrid onsite and offshore teams.
- Knowledge of advanced data architectures such as Data Vault, Medallion Architecture, FSLDM, and FSAS.
