Overview
A highly regarded construction firm is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to significant building projects located in Galway. This role provides a promising opportunity for mid-level professionals eager to enhance their commercial skills by working on prominent residential and commercial developments with experienced project teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing cost estimates, establishing budgets, and preparing tender documentation.
- Oversee the procurement of subcontractors including pricing negotiations and formal appointments.
- Prepare and submit financial documents such as interim valuations, contract variations, and final accounts.
- Continuously monitor project expenditure and financial progress against the budget.
- Provide support in commercial project management to promote cost efficiency.
- Maintain effective communication with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate project delivery.
- Keep accurate financial records, reports, and related documentation.
- Identify and report potential financial risks and opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in a Quantity Surveying capacity, preferably with construction projects.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field is required.
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts and cost control procedures.
- Strong skills in numeracy, analysis, and organisation.
- Excellent communication abilities and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Irish construction regulations and industry practices.
- Membership or active pursuit of membership in a professional body like the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland is advantageous.
Benefits and Compensation
- Salary ranging between €60,000 and €70,000 annually.
