Role Overview

The trading teams at Jump Trading are composed of diverse experts including traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers who collectively analyze global markets and complex product behaviors. They combine strong statistical and data mining abilities to forecast market trends and create profitable predictive models. This position seeks a Quantamental Research Analyst passionate about financial markets and company fundamentals, possessing a quantitative approach, to join the Singapore-based team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with quantitative traders internationally to conduct comprehensive research on ETF pricing and trading strategies.
  • Evaluate the fundamental effects of corporate actions and special situations to assess fair value and generate trading ideas.
  • Enhance dividend forecasting and evaluate its influence on equity indices and futures markets.
  • Partner with equity quantitative analysts to study diverse datasets, understanding their correlation with asset prices and creating predictive models or actionable insights.
  • Work alongside quantitative developers to streamline, automate, and scale research and trading workflows.
  • Stay informed on macroeconomic developments and market news to identify trading opportunities not easily captured by automated systems.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in buy-side or sell-side research, proprietary trading, ETF/index research, or corporate actions analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to identify market-overlooked information.
  • Strong quantitative mindset with the ability to implement systematic problem-solving strategies.
  • Solid comprehension of company fundamentals and financial ratios.
  • Proficiency in handling large datasets using Python.
  • Motivation to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
