Overview
IQVIA Laboratories is seeking a Proposal Developer 1 based in Beijing, China. This full-time onsite role involves crafting comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) within the clinical research industry, collaborating with cross-functional teams to assemble well-structured proposals, budgets, and related documents. The position requires a solid understanding of clinical research operations, cost modeling, and compliance with company policies.
Key Duties
- Analyze RFPs to extract necessary information for proposal text and budget creation.
- Collaborate closely with the proposal development team to prepare, edit, and finalize proposal submissions, rebids, and associated documents.
- Provide assistance to fellow Proposal Developers for the successful delivery of assigned proposals.
- Develop and revise preliminary agreements, ensuring scope of work and budgets align accurately.
- Adhere to internal processes and policies governing proposal development.
- Participate in strategy discussions concerning customer requirements and clarify any discrepancies.
- Conduct quality control checks on all documentation before distribution to clients and internal departments.
- Maintain and update corporate databases and tracking reports to reflect current proposal statuses.
- Engage in customer meetings when required and contribute to departmental projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or related discipline.
- At least one year of direct experience in proposal development or a similar role.
- Familiarity with the Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and an understanding of costing models.
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
