Proposal Developer 1

Job Overview

The Proposal Developer role involves preparing and finalizing proposals, budgets, and related documents by collaborating closely with proposal teams and reviewing Requests For Proposal (RFP). This position requires compliance with company processes and policies, participation in strategy meetings, thorough quality control of documents, and maintaining corporate databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze RFPs to extract relevant information for proposal content and budgeting.
• Prepare and refine text and financial estimates for proposals, rebids, and associated documentation.
• Assist fellow Proposal Developers in managing assigned opportunities effectively.
• Develop or update preliminary agreements, ensuring accurate scope of work definition and budget alignment.
• Adhere to all procedural and policy requirements related to proposal preparation.
• Engage in strategy discussions to clarify client needs and resolve inconsistencies in submitted information.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews on proposals prior to final approval and dissemination.
• Maintain and update company databases accurately for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Potentially take part in customer meetings and contribute to departmental projects and initiatives.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year experience in proposal development or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of the Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, including knowledge of costing methodologies.
• Ability to interpret RFPs and clinical protocols accurately.
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills to build and sustain productive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
