About the Role
Kaizen Global Technologies is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist based in Goulburn, New South Wales, to handle procurement operations for a significant infrastructure initiative. The position involves managing daily purchasing functions including supplier communications, order placement, delivery tracking, and coordination across internal departments.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle local procurement activities such as requests for quotations (RFQs), obtaining supplier quotes, and generating purchase orders.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery schedules.
- Monitor and expedite purchase orders to align with project timelines and site requirements.
- Collaborate with Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance teams to address procurement needs effectively.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation ensuring adherence to company purchasing protocols.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement or purchasing roles, ideally within construction, infrastructure, energy, mining or heavy industry sectors.
- Proficient in handling RFQs, supplier assessment, negotiation, purchase order processing, and order expediting.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP/procurement platforms.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and advanced Excel skills.
- Previous involvement with major infrastructure or construction projects is strongly advantageous.
