Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Planning Lead for a long-term offshore project located on Das Island, Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading planning activities for a tank refurbishment project with a work schedule of five months onshore followed by one month off.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage comprehensive project schedules, track progress, and perform critical path analyses specific to the tank refurbishment initiative.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project timelines are aligned and maintained.
- Monitor ongoing project milestones, detect any schedule deviations, and suggest corrective measures to keep the project on track.
- Compile and present weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and updates for both management and client stakeholders.
- Review project outputs to ensure conformity with technical specifications and industry regulations.
- Optimize allocation of resources including personnel, materials, and equipment to facilitate timely project completion.
- Work alongside site execution teams proactively to address and mitigate possible delays.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards as well as quality requirements across all electrical and instrumentation planning tasks.
- Assist in risk evaluation and the development of mitigation plans related to electrical and instrumentation project scopes.
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of materials and work.
- Utilize Primavera (P6) and other scheduling software to build and regularly update project schedules.
Qualifications
- B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Additional Information
This is an offshore project based in Abu Dhabi with a working regimen of five months on followed by one month off.
