Job description
Job Overview
This role involves physically handling freight by loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting packages within the facility. It is essential for the candidate to follow FedEx Canada's operational procedures and comply with relevant Canadian Customs regulations where applicable.
Key Duties
- Efficiently load and unload freight shipments while maintaining care to avoid damage.
- Scan packages and sort freight accurately within the warehouse environment.
- Operate equipment to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs, with a required lifting capacity of up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada's operational standards and Canadian Customs guidelines is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
- Successful completion of initial and ongoing training programs is required to meet all operational standards.
- For residents of Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
Work Schedule
The position currently requires 4 openings for the morning shift from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. A fifth optional shift may be available.
Additional Information
