Role Overview

• Respond promptly and courteously to in-room dining calls
• Record guest orders for food and beverages accurately
• Verify room numbers, details of orders, and any special requests
• Guide guests on menu choices and recommend items as needed
• Clarify menu ingredients and options when required
• Input orders precisely into the POS system
• Relay dietary needs and allergy information to kitchen staff
• Coordinate with culinary and service teams to ensure timely delivery
• Follow up to confirm guest satisfaction with their orders
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner
• Promote additional food and beverage items when suitable
• Maintain detailed records of orders and guest preferences
• Adhere to hotel standards for service, hygiene, and safety
• Exhibit a polished and friendly telephone demeanor

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification
• Prior experience in in-room dining, room service, food and beverage, or related hotel functions
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage offerings and service protocols
• Proficient verbal and telephone communication abilities
• Good command of the English language
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems
• Excellent customer service skills paired with strong interpersonal capabilities
• Meticulous attention to order accuracy and detail
• Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-moving environment
• Professional appearance and a positive mindset
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
• Additional language skills considered advantageous
