About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Drainage Operator to join our busy team in Rolleston, Canterbury. The role involves working across all aspects of drainage tasks including commercial and residential projects, trench excavation, working with trench shields, and pipe laying. Daily duties consist of operating various excavators and machinery, collaborating closely with a tight-knit team, and occasionally assisting in the trenches directly.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least five years of practical experience as a drainage operator.
  • Possession of a full Class 2 driver license with WTR endorsements is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to work with trench shields and install PVC as well as concrete pipelines.
  • Experience operating excavators ranging from 3 to 20 tons.
  • Strong adherence to health and safety protocols with a positive mindset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safe digging procedures and underground utility services.
  • Capability to pass all pre-employment checks, physical fitness, and self-motivation.
