Primary Responsibilities

• Manage daily functions of the meat department ensuring smooth operation.
• Achieve or surpass sales and profitability targets within the department.
• Coach and train staff in customer engagement, product expertise, and visual merchandising.
• Ensure proper stocking, presentation, and pricing of merchandise.
• Track and manage inventory levels, coordinating with other teams for timely restocking.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards for customers and employees alike.
• Oversee departmental expenses and support budget creation.
• Collaborate frequently with store leadership and peer managers to meet organizational objectives.
• Continuously scout for talented individuals to enhance the team.
• Lead and motivate staff to boost productivity, commitment, and retention.
• Uphold merchandising and operational excellence consistently.
• Foster and lead inclusive teams that nurture diversity and belonging.

Candidate Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is advantageous.
• Prior experience managing retail departments or specialty stores preferred.
• Proven leadership ability and interpersonal skills to inspire and develop team members.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of retail operations such as merchandising, inventory control, and customer service.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long durations.
