Primary Responsibilities
- Manage daily functions of the meat department ensuring smooth operation.
- Achieve or surpass sales and profitability targets within the department.
- Coach and train staff in customer engagement, product expertise, and visual merchandising.
- Ensure proper stocking, presentation, and pricing of merchandise.
- Track and manage inventory levels, coordinating with other teams for timely restocking.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards for customers and employees alike.
- Oversee departmental expenses and support budget creation.
- Collaborate frequently with store leadership and peer managers to meet organizational objectives.
- Continuously scout for talented individuals to enhance the team.
- Lead and motivate staff to boost productivity, commitment, and retention.
- Uphold merchandising and operational excellence consistently.
- Foster and lead inclusive teams that nurture diversity and belonging.
Candidate Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is advantageous.
- Prior experience managing retail departments or specialty stores preferred.
- Proven leadership ability and interpersonal skills to inspire and develop team members.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of retail operations such as merchandising, inventory control, and customer service.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long durations.
