Job Overview

The newly established logistics hub in Skopje manages central planning and transportation for Lear's seating plants in Europe and Africa. As this operation expands, we seek a motivated Material Planner to ensure material and logistics requirements meet customer needs and production goals, while advancing best practices in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of production materials to manufacturing lines on a Just-In-Time basis with daily achievement of measurable targets.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, coordinating with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
• Analyze customer schedules and issue precise and timely schedules to suppliers to avoid premium costs.
• Support manufacturing and customer demands effectively.
• Manage supplier lead times and maintain inventory targets for accuracy and value.
• Update supplier and inventory data in ERP systems to accurately represent operational needs.
• Facilitate timely, cost-effective implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and new parts introduction.
• Provide operational support and information to management regarding issues impacting production.
• Adhere to departmental procedures ensuring full delivery of materials to production lines and contribute to ongoing process improvements for enhanced customer satisfaction.
• Implement systems promoting supplier accountability and manage changes within the supply chain to meet site objectives.
• Use problem-solving and communication skills to assist internal teams and customers in resolving issues, enhancing quality and productivity.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders about component supply concerns within the supply chain.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, IT, or related field, preferably logistics.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Materials Planning, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical capabilities and technical communication skills that translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and effective team player.
• Confident, adaptable to dynamic and varied work environments.
• Good negotiation abilities and excellent time management, prioritizing multiple objectives efficiently.
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, flexible, compliance-driven with a procedural approach.
