Mandarin Trader

Role Overview

As a Mandarin Trader based in London, you will take charge of directing portfolio risk management for flow derivative global portfolios within the London timezone. You will manage pricing and execution of client transactions and hedges for a wide variety of Foreign Exchange markets and quote the bank's franchise across numerous currencies and derivative instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio risk management for flow derivative global portfolios operating in the London timezone.
• Manage pricing and execution processes for client trades and hedges across diverse FX markets.
• Provide quotes representing the bank’s franchise on a broad spectrum of currencies and derivative products.
• Collaborate with Sales teams to meet with institutional and corporate clients, sustaining and enhancing the bank's FX franchise.
• Spot and develop new opportunities and relationships within institutional and corporate client segments.
• Engage in project initiatives aimed at ongoing enhancement of systems and infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of quantitative trading strategies for FX derivative portfolios covering both developed and emerging markets.
• Demonstrated expertise in using AI tools to boost productivity and streamline workflow, applying critical judgment to ensure ethical and responsible use of data and AI outputs.
• Experience handling a wide range of currencies and derivative financial instruments.
• Strong grasp of market structure with proven ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders such as clients, exchanges, and regulators.
• Commercial awareness with initiative-taking abilities and complex problem-solving skills related to business challenges.
