Loss Prevention Associate

Position Summary

As a Loss Prevention Associate at Marriott International in Indore, you will lead investigations relating to theft, fraud, lost items, and various guest complaints such as noise, assault, and food poisoning. This role involves gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and reporting incidents to management or relevant authorities including police when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents and collect information through statements and evidence related to security concerns and guest complaints.
• Notify supervisors and authorities in case of accidents, assaults, or emergencies.
• Document all incidents including thefts, accidents, hazards, and fire alarms through detailed reports.
• Address business interruptions like suspicious behavior, disturbances, or intoxicated individuals and escort unauthorized persons from the premises calmly.
• Manage and de-escalate guest or employee altercations and summon help if required.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies on safety, security, and confidentiality to protect assets.
• Provide welcoming and attentive guest service that aligns with company standards.
• Maintain professional communication and work relationships to support team goals.
• Use computers and point-of-sale systems to handle work-related data entry and retrieval.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Perform visual inspections for equipment defects.
• Respond quickly to work situations including running or walking as needed.
• Stand, sit, or walk throughout the shift and handle lifting weights up to 50 pounds solo and over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Perform tasks requiring fine motor coordination and navigate confined or uneven spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications necessary, although local regulations may require additional licensing.
