Position Overview

The company seeks an experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer to head a multidisciplinary team in designing, implementing, and optimizing tools and applications that enhance video game asset pipelines and production workflows. This role involves ownership of AI agent engineering, backend development, quality assurance, and collaboration with multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage agent loop and harness engineering, including large-scale prompting strategies with system prompt design and mitigation of context-related issues.
• Design interfaces for agents, including MCP servers, structured input/output mechanisms, and sub-agent patterns.
• Advocate best practices for typed-agent frameworks incorporating strong observability and telemetry features.
• Assess and integrate local large language model (LLM) solutions to satisfy latency, cost, or data residency needs.
• Build scalable backend services and secure RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Model and optimize data handling across relational and NoSQL databases, implement caching and messaging systems where necessary.
• Ensure robust security via authentication, authorization, input validation, and error handling.
• Develop thorough automated tests using frameworks like pytest.
• Manage performance tuning, troubleshooting, perform code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, and Docker for development and deployment.
• Lead engineering teams to deliver AI and software projects effectively.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, production, site reliability engineers, and IT teams to create user-focused solutions.
• Contribute to architectural design decisions and mentor junior developers.
• Operate within agile team environments, fostering continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years building production-grade applications as a full-stack engineer.
• Expertise in Python frameworks (FastAPI or Flask), RESTful API design, and tools like SQLAlchemy and Pydantic.
• Strong knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Vue or React, including routing, state management (Vuex, Pinia, or Redux), and component libraries.
• Experience with public cloud services like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Vector DB); experience with caching systems (Redis) and message queues is advantageous.
• Demonstrated testing practices with automated test suites.
• Comfortable with version control (Git), GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and Docker containerization.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across teams.
• Additional advantages include experience with agent development frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph) and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate credential.
