L1/L2 Production Support Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic L2 Production Support Engineer for 24x7 onsite support of Core Banking applications. The ideal candidate will have recent exposure to Java J2EE environments and a good grasp of banking operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver L2 production support for Core Banking systems around the clock.
• Work extensively with Java J2EE applications.
• Utilize knowledge of Unix commands, SQL querying, and application monitoring tools.
• Manage job scheduling, MQ configurations, and Continuous Deployment environment setups when needed.
• Use ticketing and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Grafana.
• Collaborate effectively with teams, take ownership of issues, and consistently meet Service Level Agreements.
• Adapt quickly, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and thrive under fast-paced conditions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field is mandatory.
• Minimum two years of experience in application support or development roles with an emphasis on Java and Core Banking systems.
• Strong foundation in Java, Unix/Linux commands, SQL, and familiarity with Sunline Core Banking is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of job scheduling, MQ, and Continuous Deployment setups is advantageous.
• Solid communication skills with an ability to interact seamlessly across multiple teams.
• Motivated, committed, and eager to learn continuously.

Additional Information

The position is full-time contract, based onsite in Singapore. Candidates with prior experience in Core Banking support environments will be given preference. The role demands ownership mentality and maintaining quality standards while working under pressure.
