Job description
Overview
This role involves close collaboration with the HRIS team across onshore and offshore locations to support and enhance functionality within the Kronos application. The specialist will build strong partnerships across Information Services, working with directors, executives, and managers to meet organizational needs promptly while ensuring excellent internal customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain and maintain knowledge of Kronos version 8.1 or later, including traditional and modern technological stacks such as microservices and cloud-enabled architectures.
- Lead development and design initiatives to improve IT operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the Kronos system.
- Manage updates related to Kronos releases and collaborate with the team to recommend organizationally appropriate solutions, participating in testing activities when required.
- Engage in all development phases from concept and architecture through execution.
- Enhance Kronos development processes by driving methodologies for documentation, testing, quality assurance, and change management.
- Develop standard operating procedures for Timekeeping, Leave, Accruals, and Attendance modules within Kronos.
- Stay abreast of current technology standards, emerging trends, and software development best practices to ensure ongoing improvements.
- Address technical and production issues promptly, recommending preventative strategies to minimize recurrence.
- Support and contribute to cross-organizational alignment by presenting and advocating Kronos strategies to stakeholders.
- Iterate product and platform features efficiently by understanding requirements and scaling architecture accordingly.
- Coordinate resource planning within IT to ensure effective and efficient project execution.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Certification in Workforce Integration Manager and/or Workforce Management (WFM) is mandatory.
- Experience integrating Kronos solutions with Oracle Fusion is highly beneficial.
- Past experience working with third-party payroll processors is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Visio is required for daily operations.
- Comprehensive experience throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong dedication to quality, and pride in coding standards.
