Role Objective

The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring the kitchen stays clean and hygienic, supporting chefs and the kitchen team to maintain seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and pans promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
• Manage waste and recyclables disposal abiding by health and safety rules.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and properly storing food and equipment deliveries.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and notify supervisors when inventory is low.
• Provide support in basic food prep tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables when needed.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth workflow.
• Report any defective equipment or safety concerns promptly to management.
